Changes at
KMI
In
the past few months, Kurzejewski Motorsports Inc.
has gone through some changes. After leaving Dover
with a blown motor that occurred on lap 18, Matt
and the team lead by crew chief Roger Johnson
decided to compete in the remaining 4 races of the
UARA-STARS Late Model series. This was meant to be
a learning situation for Matt and give him more
seat time in a full-bodied racecar.. “I
definitely feel like I have figured out the feel
of a stock car now after racing in the UARA
series. Up until now, and even in the Camping
World Series, I tried to drive the cars like an
open wheel modified car, which is why I wasn’t
as successful as I’d like.d to have been.” –Matt
Kurzejewski.
Recently,
Matt was offered a deal to drive in the 600
Racing/INEX Winter Heat series held at Lowes Motor
Speedway throughout the winter season. Kurzejewski
gladly accepted the offer and stated, “I’m
definitely excited to drive in the series for
Hurricane Racing this winter and I’m really
looking forward to it. It’s very nice to have
the ability to race throughout the winter and to
have more seat time. The competition in the series
is great and I believe I will be very competitive.”
Plans
for the upcoming 2010 season for KMI are still up
in the air as they are considering many options.
